Logistics Manager

As the Logistics Manager, you will: 

• Optimizing transportation, providing on-site material logistics functions, managing 3PLs, and driving improvements in point-of-use availability.
• Manages inventory levels and the daily operations in the major tools and supplies disbursement and tool grinding cribs. Coordination of inbound material control, carrier collaboration, establishing milk runs, coordinating third-party logistics services, plant site material logistics, and managing supermarkets and kitting processes. You will be responsible for optimizing material flow throughout the plant site, ensuring the availability of needed resources, including operating personnel and material handling equipment, and always working to eliminate traffic bottlenecks.
• Provides management for the development and implementation of cost-effective material handling plans, including purchased logistics services, and material handling equipment. This involves providing tactical plans, machines and equipment, and facilities to support long-range process improvement plans and daily operations. 
• Responsible for multiple shift operation and sets general policy including schedules to be followed on all three shifts, servicing production area needs in off shift hours.
• You will be challenged to implement cost-effective projects within acceptable parameters for schedule, budget, cost reduction, and return on investment while providing uninterrupted, quality service to customers. 
• You will be challenged to achieve PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost) targets across Safety, POU (Point of Use) Availability, Record Accuracy, and MRDR (Material Rejection & Disposition Reports) Processing. 
• Works closely with Purchasing, Material Requirements, Manufacturing, Factory Engineering, Transportation, suppliers, and other areas to ensure customer needs are met utilizing the least total cost alternatives.
• Manages a work unit of management, salaried, and hourly employees where planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reviewing the work of subordinates is required. The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.

The successful candidate must bring:

• Excellent English written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree related to Supply Chain.
• Minimum of 6 (six) years of progressively responsible in managing logistics or supply chain experience.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
• Solid logistics and manufacturing experience.
