As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and conducting tests on high voltage electrical systems in hydraulic mining shovels.

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.
Domestic relocation is available for this position.
What You Will Do:
-
Conducting basic equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustained production.
-
Operating basic production equipment and tools in the manufacture, assembly and test of various products.
-
Following blueprints, guidelines, diagrams and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met.

Assisting as part of manufacturing team in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement, as well as quality control and in-process production testing.
What Skills You Have:

Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.

Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.

Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.

Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
What Will Set You Apart:
-
At least 3 (three) years of experience in a similar or relevant role.
-
Possession of at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.

Proficiency in troubleshooting Electric & Hydraulic Schematics, and experience with CAD software (such as Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Experience in High Voltage > 6KVA AC.

This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
